Outside of the bigger obvious toddler activities, many communities also have pop up events at local small businesses that cater to little kids. Through Facebook, I found a post about Paw Patrol characters scheduled to visit OMG! Yogurt and Ice Cream in Sea Girt and immediately put it on my calendar.
We had been to OMG! once before for a birthday party where BLUEY made an appearance! It's small and has limited seating, but that works just fine for a normal day in business. On a day with toddler celebrities like the Paw Patrol, it definitely felt a little cramped.
We arrived on a stormy night (happily braving wind and rain for the Paw Patrol) and were surprised at how busy the venue was. Chase and Skye were right up front and greeting the little ones. We were able to say hello right away before going to get our Fro-Yo complete with all the toppings. We got lucky and asked a family to share their table with us so we could eat our treats. After finishing, we were able to give Chase and Skye another hug before leaving. It wasn't a long excursion, but it was perfect! My little one got to visit with some of his favorite characters and we both got a yummy treat. It was a great way to spend a rainy night!
This recent OMG! event looked like it was a huge success for the business and for the kids. It looks like they just announced a new paid event with Bluey. I suggest following them on social media to see their updates, and if you can't get there when there is a character, it's still worth dropping by to build your own frozen yogurt treats!
